Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to subscriptions to the RESI platform at re-si.co.za. It forms part of, and must be read together with, our Terms of Use.

1. Free Trial

RESI offers a 7-day free trial on all plans. The free trial does not require you to enter payment details, and you will not be charged unless and until you choose to subscribe to a paid plan. You may stop using the Platform during the trial at any time, with no obligation.

2. Subscriptions and Billing

When you subscribe to a paid plan (Solo, Landlord, or Portfolio), you are charged the subscription fee for your chosen billing cycle in advance, in South African Rand (ZAR). All subscription fees are exclusive of value added tax (VAT) where applicable. Payments are processed by Paystack; RESI does not store your payment card details.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing support@re-si.co.za. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to the Platform until the end of that period, and you will not be billed for any period after it.

4. Refunds

RESI does not provide refunds for partially used billing periods. When you cancel, your subscription continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then stops.

We will refund a verified billing error — for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after a confirmed cancellation. Contact us at support@re-si.co.za and we will investigate and refund any error we confirm.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable South African law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

5. Card Disputes and Chargebacks

If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first at support@re-si.co.za — most issues are resolved quickly and directly. Card disputes raised through your bank or through Paystack are handled in accordance with Paystack’s dispute process; we will provide your account and billing records as supporting evidence.

6. Your Data After Cancellation

You may export your property, tenant, lease, and payment data from the Platform at any time. If you cancel, you may request a full export of your data within 30 days of cancellation by emailing support@re-si.co.za. After that period, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to Fees

We may change our subscription fees from time to time. Where we do, we will give you 30 days’ prior written notice, and any change will take effect from your next billing period. Your continued use of a paid plan after a fee change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new fee.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on the Platform, and your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the policy as amended.
